If it is hard to move DON'T FORCE IT. It will break off. You can just use vice-grips to clamp on the hose to shut the flow of fuel off.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUnscrew the nut holding the fuel bowl in place.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRemove the fuel bowl\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRemove the filter. The filter might be stuck in the housing or might be in the bowl.  \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInspect the filter to be sure both ends have metal caps. It is common for the top metal cap to come unglued and remain stuck in the housing. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eClean the bowl with fresh diesel and install new O-Ring\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInstall the new filter onto the nipple inside the housing. The filter should hang by itself. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInstall the bowl over the filter.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eStart the threads on the retainer nut but do not tighten. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn on fuel flow and let bowl completely fill with fuel\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTighten nut\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLoosen bleeder screws until fuel flows without bubbles \u0026amp; re-tighten\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eStart engine and check for leaks. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf engine does not start DO NOT USE STARTING FLUID!!!!
