Collection: Yanmar YM2000 / YM2000D

The Yanmar YM2000 is a 20PTO horsepower 24 engine horsepower tractor. The YM2000 is the 2wd version and the YM2000D is the 4wd version. Both models were manufactured between 1975 and 1977. There was also a YM2000A and YM2000B made in 1979 which received a few cosmetic upgrades like engine side panels as well as an updated dash which included a temperature gauge.

The YM2000 all use the 2TR20 engine which was made in several variations including the 2TR20, 2TR20A, and 2TR20AX. The original YM2000 was painted a lime green color and had the 2TR20 engine which was an 88mm bore. The tractor was updated to the familiar red color and the engine was updated to the 90mm bore. Fun fact: you can actually swap the pistons, rings, head gasket, and sleeves from a YM2000 into a YM1700 and give it an extra 3 horsepower.

Just to keep things confusing, Yanmar also created a YMG2000 which is nothing like the YM2000. The Yanmar YMG2000 uses a 3 cylinder engine and shares almost no parts with the YM2000.
