Yanmar Tractor ThermoStart (Glow) Plug

This is Yanmar's version of a glow plug. It heats up a small amount of diesel fuel and burns it in the intake to make heat and allow the engine to start easier. Find out more in our ThermoStart Tech Article

Tech Tips:
- The Thermo-Start is engaged by turning your ignition key to the momentary counter-clockwise position and also during cranking. 
- Do not use the ThermoStart for more than 10-15 seconds at a time without giving it a 30 second break. It can burn out.  
- You may need to cycle the ThermoStart plug a few times to get fuel down to the heating element
- Some of the older model Yanmar Tractors had a longer ThermoStart that had two wires. This new version does the same thing but just in a more compact form and only needs one of the wires. The other wire can be taped out of the way.
