Shop Notes #1:
A lot has changed since your original, bulky starter was made 40+ years ago. Newer gear drive technology has made very compact starters that massively outperform the heavy starters from the 1970s. These starters use powerful smaller motors We did a LOT of testing of various gear drive starters being sold right now in order to find one that was built to last and at a great value. Many of the starters that we tested were terrible. Some failed immediately. This starter performed great and comes at a price that will not break the bank.

There is much more to a starter than a part number. Not all starters that have the same part number are even close to the same quality. Many are garbage.
