We were just not happy with the other fuel caps on the market so we decided to make a better cap. The other caps faded quickly in the sun, the rubber gasket fell out every time you removed the cap, and the cap was not vented so you had to leave the cap loose or your fuel tank would develop a vacuum and starve the engine! Well.... we fixed all of those things!

Shop Notes:
Lets be honest... sunlight will eventually destroy any plastic. We made our cap out of a VERY stable plastic and we have been monitoring a test piece that has been out in the sun for over 5 years and still looks great.  If you want to improve the lifetime of any of your plastic parts, however, consider using a product like Aerospace 303. It does a great job at protecting plastic parts from the sun. I have been using this for many years on my tractors and have been very impressed.
