The old seals were glued to the filter lid and filter housing base. If that seal is hard or damaged or compressed then it is letting dust through and WILL ruin your engine. These new seals will stick to your air filter and seal out that dust. 

To Install:
Remove the old rubber seals from the air filter lid and air filter housing. These new seals are self adhesive so just stick one to the top of the filter and bottom of the filter and re-install. Double check to be sure the seals are touching the lid and base. Replace every time your change your air filter to be sure they are still sealing correctly.
