Yanmar Tractor Cylinder Head Bolt (each) - Made In USA

It is highly recommended that you replace your factory head bolts after you change the head gasket. These are relatively cheap insurance against a head gasket blowing out again soon after you replaced it.

How Many?
The 3 cylinder models use 14pc and the 4 cylinder models use 18pc.

Pro Tip:
These head bolts torque to 64 ft/lbs. You will want to start in the center of the head and work your way outward in an X pattern. It is recommended that you get to the 64ft/lbs in 3 stages. Start at 10ft/lbs then 40 then 64 for example. It is also required that you re-torque the head bolts again after warming up the tractor for 20-30 minutes and letting it cool overnight.  The head gasket will compress and 'settle in'. You may need to re-torque again until the head bolts stay at the proper torque. So why don't the factory head bolts need retorqued? The factory uses metal head gaskets because the head and block surfaces are perfect. 40 years later those surfaces have tiny rust pits and scratches and a metal gasket will no longer seal. This is why you use a composite gasket on an overhaul and composite gaskets need to be re-torqued.
